Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Focusrio ("we", "us") collects and uses information when you use our website focusrio.com, the Focusrio Cloud dashboard and the Focusrio Windows desktop application.
1. Who uses Focusrio
Focusrio is business software. Organisations ("customers") install the desktop application on computers they own or manage to understand work time, application usage and device security. The customer decides which PCs are monitored and which features are enabled, and is responsible for informing employees and obtaining any consent required by applicable law.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, company name and a hashed password.
- Billing information — plan, invoices and payment status. Card / UPI details are processed by our payment partners (Cashfree, Razorpay, PayPal, Instamojo) and are never stored on our servers.
- Monitored PC data (only on PCs where the customer installs the app) — PC name, Windows user name, active application and window title, websites visited, active / inactive time, screenshots (if enabled), USB device events and website-block events.
- Website data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and cookies described below.
3. How we use information
- To provide the dashboard, reports, alerts and the desktop application to the customer.
- To process payments, send invoices and transactional emails (account, billing and security notices).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and provide support.
- To measure the performance of our own advertising (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel / Conversions API). Personal identifiers sent to advertising partners are hashed (SHA-256).
We do not sell personal information. Monitored PC data belongs to the customer and is visible only to the customer's authorised users.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics / advertising cookies (Google, Meta) on our public website to understand visits and ad performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
5. Data retention
Customers can set automatic deletion of monitoring data from the dashboard (Data retention settings) and can export or delete their data at any time. When an account is closed, its data is deleted within 90 days, except records we must keep for tax and legal reasons.
6. Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Desktop applications authenticate with per-device API keys. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal information. Employees of a customer should contact their employer first, as the employer controls the monitoring data. You can also write to us at support@focusrio.com.
